ELM SCHOOL was established in Hargeisa in April 2007. Since then, the school has experienced tremendous growth and has risen to be the first, and currently the only, accredited international school in Somaliland.
At ELM, we strive to ensure that our children acquire personal values based on Islamic principles, develop a sense of curiosity about the world around them and maintain an enthusiasm for learning in life. Each student is raised to believe in the value of hard work, discipline and respect for both self and others.
We do this by creating and maintaining a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in our school. We also hold fast on the professional competence and commitment necessary to see academic excellence for each of our students. In this sense, ELM is not only a school dedicated to the intellectual growth of our learners but also a community with a strong family feel that strengthens social bonding and cohesion.
Our mission is to help our students become confident, independent and creative thinkers so that they develop the skills that make them successful learners and also grow into becoming responsible citizens who embrace universal human values.
