On Thursday 26 October, ELM School held its graduation ceremony for nearly 100 students from grade 8 and year 11, the Class of 2017, at the Summertime Green Plaza Wedding hall.
At this ceremony, ELM school was presented with its international accreditation certificate from ASIC, by Kaltun Abokor Abdillahi. In return the school presented Kaltun with a special award, in recognition of her dedication and commitment.
Guests of hounor and guest speakers included, Mr. Muse Mohamed Shide (Director General of Private education), Kaltun Abokor Abdillahi, Mr. Muse Behi (Presidential candidate for Kulmiye) and Sh. Ahmed Muse Dahir who is one of the school’s founding parents. While Mr. Mukhtar Muse Omer the Head of the school’s Parents committee acted as the M.C.
The Valedictorian speeches were next as 3 students represented their fellow graduates.
Abdulghani Abdirahman Abokor, who represented the year 11 students. He was followed by Hannah Elmi Jama, who spoke on behalf of the grade 8 girls and finally Khalid Ahmed Ali who delivered the last valedictorian speech on representing the grade 8 boys.
After the speeches and the presentation of the International Accreditation certificate, the school teachers were appreciated and presented with certificates and prizes, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.
The top three performers in the PEARSON EDEXCEL IGCSE exams were presented with Laptops for their achievement. The top three performers in each of the three classes of Grade 8 were also presented with prizes.
Finally in the last stage of the event, all students were presented with their graduation certificates.
